Illustrative network monitoring
Algorius Net Viewer displays device status, monitoring results, errors and warnings on the network map in an illustrative manner. This makes it possible to see the status both of particular devices and of the entire network.

Device scanning wizard
The wizard allows for quickly scanning the devices on the map, determining their status, CPU temperature, and free disk space and finding services, database instances, unauthorized game servers, etc.

Different scanning methods
Algorius Net Viewer allows for the use of different protocols: ICMP, UDP, TCP, SNMP, WMI, ARP, DNS, NETBIOS, HTTP(s), FTP(s), SQL, POP3, IMAP, SMTP. This makes it possible to control practically any aspect of the operation of services, servers, and other network devices.

SNMP support
SNMP is a protocol for control of devices in IP networks. SNMP-supporting devices include routers, switchboards, servers, workstations, printers, etc. Authorization and data encryption (MD5, SHA1, DES, AES-128, AES-192, AES-256, Triple DES) are supported for SNMP v.3.

WMI support
WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) allows for monitoring Windows-based servers and workstations. The WQL query language is used to access WMI. Due to the integrated WMI browser, WQL scripts are generated automatically.

Scanning with external tools
Algorius Net Viewer makes it possible to scan devices using external utilities or .bat files. The result is determined based on the analysis of the return code or the contents of the console text. This substantially expands opportunities for monitoring.

Plugin support
All the scanning methods (SNMP, PING, WMI, etc.) are implemented as plugins based on a common API. This allows third-party developers to expand the application’s functionality by creating additional plugins adapted for their own needs.

Monitoring log
Algorius Net Viewer keeps a complete monitoring log, and allows for optimizing it into hourly and daily statistics. The statistics records the minimum and maximum values, status changes, error codes, etc. This makes it possible to quickly obtain accurate reports and charts.
