Algorius Net Viewer Manual | Port Scanning

General Information

Algorius Net Viewer gives possibility for you to scan TCP ports of devices within maps to find the open ports. Scanning is performed in multithread mode using the asynchronous operations – it provides the high scanning speed.

Performing Scanning

To launch the port scanning for a device, select it on the map and select Standard→Port scan in the drop-down menu. The Port Scan window will be shown. Select port range or enter it manually. You can enter port interval with a hyphen or several ports/intervals, separated by semicolon. For example:

Click Start button to launch scanning. Opened ports are displayed under the devices upon scanning. Descriptions of lots of standard system ports are also shown.

Click Stop button or close the scanning window to stop scanning.

Monitoring parameters are used for the maximum amount of scanned ports and for timeout value.
