Command Line Parameters

NetViewer.exe is the main file to launch Algorius Net Viewer. It is stored in the application folder.

All of the following options can be applied to current launched application. Since application is not started twice (second launch just activates the previous instance), changes are applied to current launched application. Thus you can quickly switch between various settings, open maps, perform searching, etc.

NetViewer.exe supports the following parameters:

NetViewer.exe -o:<settings_file>

where <settings_file> is the location of the file with application settings.

Load options from the specified file. All subsequent changes are stored in this file. Thus you can quickly switch between various settings.

Examples:

  • NetViewer.exe -o:user.xml
  • NetViewer.exe -o:\\server\share\option.xml
  • NetViewer.exe -o:c:\option.xml

NetViewer.exe -L:<settings_file>

where <settings_file> is the location of the file with application settings.

Load options from the specified file. All subsequent changes are stored in the previous configuration file. Thus you can update settings from a master-copy.

Examples:

  • NetViewer.exe -o:\\server\share\option.xml

NetViewer.exe -s:<address> where <address> is a device address. Goes to a device with the specified address.

Examples:

  • NetViewer.exe -s:192.168.1.1
  • NetViewer.exe -s:google.com

NetViewer.exe <map_file>

where <map_file> is the location of a map file. It opens the specified map or goes to it if the map is already opened.

Using this parameter, you can assign NetViewer.exe to open the files with MAP extension.

Examples:

  • NetViewer.exe my_map.map
  • NetViewer.exe c:\map.map

NetViewer.exe -clearcache -server:<address>

where <address> — Algorius Net Viewer Server address.

Clears the server cache. See Information Caching for additional information.

You can only specify the -clearcache attribute, in this case the cache will be cleared for the first logged in server.

Examples:

  • NetViewer.exe -clearcache
  • NetViewer.exe -clearcache -server:http://localhost:3234

NetViewer.exe -fullscreen

Launches the application in full screen mode.

NetViewer.exe -instance

Launches the second instance of the application.

Autorun

Go to the Options window and click Launch on Windows startup to make the Algorius Net Viewer application run automatically when the Windows starts.

Change Startup Settings

Go to the Options window and enable the Launch as minimized option. Now, the Algorius Net Viewer will be run minimized.

Go to the Options window and enable the Minimize to tray option to make the Algorius Net Viewer disappear from the taskbar when the minimize button is pressed. Click on the system tray icon to restore the Algorius Net Viewer main window.

Minimize on Close

You can disable closing the Algorius Net Viewer when pressing the main window close button. To do this, just go to the Options window and enable the Minimize on close option. Now the Algorius Net Viewer will be minimized every time when you press the close button.

To close the Algorius Net Viewer, select the FileExit option from the main window menu or click Exit in the Algorius Net Viewer system tray context menu.

Assign Launch Hotkey

Add the Algorius Net Viewer shortcut to your desktop and enter the shortcut’s settings to specify the hotkey combination. The Algorius Net Viewer will start when you press this hotkey combination. Starting the Algorius Net Viewer for the second time will simply restore its window that was run in the first time.
