General Information

The main window contains the following components:

Some components of the main window can be hidden according to application settings.

To open the main window when it’s minimized in the system tray, click the tray icon or select Open Algorius Net Viewer from the icon's context menu:

If the main window opens on a second monitor that's turned off, for convenience, the context menu in the tray provides the Reset Window Position feature, which returns the window to the primary monitor.

Tabs

Tabs are displayed at the top of the main window and are used to switch between maps, inventory cards and welcome page quickly.

Tabs can be hidden. To show or hide tabs, select ShowTabs from the main menu.

Toolbar

The toolbar is located at the top of the main window. The toolbar may be hidden. To show or hide the toolbar, select ShowToolbar from the main menu.

The main sidebar is shown on the left side of the main window.

The main sidebar displays the following tools:

Additional sidebars appear on the right side of the editor.

The sidebar to the right of the map editor displays the following tools:

The sidebar to the right of the inventory card editor displays a list of sections.

The sidebar or some tools on it may be hidden. In this case they can be accessed through the Tools menu or using the corresponding buttons on the toolbar.

To show only one of the tools in the sidebar, left-click on the corresponding button in the toolbar.

To add or hide tools, click on the corresponding button on the toolbar with the right mouse button, or with the left mouse button while holding Ctrl or Shift. This method allows you to display several tools at once in the sidebar.

If several panels with tools are displayed on the sidebar, they can be adjusted in height by dragging the separator between them. Double-clicking the separator will make the height of these panels the same. Double-clicking the separator (while holding Ctrl or Shift) will make the height of all panels the same.

Editor

The editor takes the major part of the main window. It is designed to display and edit the maps and the inventory cards.

Properties Panel

The Properties panel is located on the sidebar to the right of the map editor. It displays and edits map properties and properties of objects on the map.

The Properties panel may be hidden. To display the Properties panel, open a map and select ToolsProperties from the menu, or click the Properties button on the toolbar, or press F4.

Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the main window. The status bar can be hidden. To show or hide the status bar, select ShowStatus Bar in the main menu.

The following information is displayed in the status bar:

  • The number of devices currently being scanned or that need to be scanned (i.e., in the queue). See Device Monitoring for more information.
  • Monitoring pause mode. See Device Monitoring for more information.
  • The number of devices, selected in the map editor. See Editing Maps for more information.
  • Number of devices on all maps. The total number of devices is shown separately, as well as the total number of active and inactive devices.
  • Number of current events according to notification settings. The number of alarms, errors, warnings and informational events is shown separately.
  • Number of messages, if any, according to notification settings. See Show message on the screen for more information.
  • The number of system errors that occurred in the application. If any error related to the application operation occurs, the corresponding indicator is displayed in the status bar. Clicking it opens a window with a more detailed error description.
  • The number of notifications, for example, about the release of a new version of the program or the license expiring. The corresponding indicator is displayed in the status bar if there are notifications. Clicking it opens a window with a more detailed notification description. These notifications can be disabled in the program settings in the General tab.

System Tray Icon

Algorius Net Viewer has informative system tray icon:

The tray icon contains a context menu with frequently used operations. See Main Window for more information.

The tray icon can change its color. The color of the tray icon reflects the current severity level of the events according to the notification settings. See Configuring Events for more information.

Full–Screen Mode

The application can be shown in full–screen mode. Select ViewFull Screen in main window menu to switch on/off full–screen mode. Only the editor are displayed in this mode. There is even no window title. Thus more information is displayed on a screen. This option is provided to display a map on a large screen.
