Editor
The editor takes the major part of the main window. It is designed to display and edit the computer network maps and the inventory cards.
See Network Maps and Inventory Cards for more information.
Tabs
Tabs are shown above editor and are used to switch between maps and inventory cards quickly.
See Network Maps and Inventory Cards for more information.
Status Bar
The status bar displays the following information:
- The number of devices under scanning currently or scheduled for scanning (in the queue). See Device Monitoring for more information.
- The number of devices under inventory currently or scheduled for inventory (in the queue). See Inventory for more information.
- The number of devices, selected in the map editor.
- The monitoring pause mode (if activated).
- The number of currently executed notification tasks (if there are any).
- The map scale panel.
In the event of any errors (e.g. if a required file is missing, etc.), a link with related information will be displayed in the status bar. Clicking the link will open a window with a more detailed problem description and an offer to email a support request to the Algorius Net Viewer Support Team. This will allow us to improve the quality of our software product.
System Tray Icon
Algorius Net Viewer has its own informative system tray icon that shows current states:
![]() |
Notification system reports an alarm |
![]() |
Notification system reports an error |
![]() |
Notification system reports a warning |
![]() |
Notification system reports an informational event |
![]() |
Normal application state |
Clicking the Algorius Net Viewer system tray icon will minimize or restore the main Algorius Net Viewer window.
Algorius Net Viewer system tray icon includes a context menu that contains all the frequently used operations:

Full–Screen Mode
The application can be shown in full–screen mode. Select View->Full Screen in main window menu to switch on/off full–screen mode. Only the main menu and the editor are displayed in this mode. There is even no window title. Thus more information is displayed on a screen. It is even more convenient when application is opened on a separate big screen.
Search in Lists
All lists, including tree lists, in the application interface support search for items. This allows you to quickly find and navigate to the desired item in the list.
To quickly navigate to an item, click on the list and type in the name of the item or part of it. A field for entering the name of the item will be displayed. The list will display only those items that contain the text entered. To cancel filtering, press ESC or close the text field by clicking on the cross icon next to it.
For your convenience, use the Ctrl+Plus and Ctrl+Minus keyboard shortcuts to expand and minimize the current list element and its child elements, and the Ctrl+Shift+Plus and Ctrl+Shift+Minus shortcuts to expand or minimize all list elements. Here, Plus and Minus refer to the corresponding keys on the numeric keypad (right part of the keyboard).
