Algorius Net Viewer Manual | Configuring Event

To configure an event that is to be notified it is required to specify the following parameters:

  • Enable This Notification — if checked, the notification is active. This is to allow the quickly disabling of any notification.
  • Severity — an event severity type. In case if there happens any event, the map icon and the tray icon will change to one corresponding its severity type (to the maximum of all the events). See the table below.
  • Map — a map that should be monitored for the specified event presence.
  • Device type — a type of device that may activate the specified event.
  • Sensor — a sensor of device that may activate the specified event.
  • Device — device that may activate the specified event.
  • State — a state of device that causes the specified event.
  • During — the time during which the device must remain in the indicated state until the event is activated.
  • Value — allows you to specify the value of the device scanning result during the specified period needed to activate the specified event. You can specify exact values or a range of values.
  • Actions — a list of actions that should be performed after the specified event happens.

The duration of the device in this state can be set together with the monitoring result value. This allows the notification of potential problems before they actually occur. For example, Ping for more than 1 second within 30 minutes, or CPU load more than 90% within an hour. This event is verified using the data of the operative monitoring log. Therefore, the indicated duration should be less than the duration of data storage in the operational log.

After specifying the parameters, it is recommended that you test the event by pressing the Test button.
